From Journal -
This was our first real day of hiking. We went to Ponil over Harts peak. The first part was very difficult, though we all made it with no issues. We met our sister crew at the top. we hiked at a good pace and made it Ponil in 3 1/2 hours.
Our campsite was a beast. To get to it we had to hike through a dry wash and up the side of the mountain. we were the one on the top. We don't know why we are so unlucky.
At Ponil they have branding. We all had a good time doing that. Another bit hit were the showers and place to wash our clothes!
Ponil also has the Cantina where we saw a good show about Clementine and enjoyed root beer for $1 with .50 cent refills.
We were treated to a chuck wagon dinner. The food was good. Right after dinner it began to rain.
Before dinner we played horseshoes and Josh and I won!
Unfortunately my camera stopped working :-(
