On to Miranda and Head of Dean

From Journal -

Packing up today was a giant mess. Everything was wet and muddy. We got out of our camp ok and made good time to Miranda where we picked up the programs of blackpowder rifle and the tomahawk throw.

It was cool since we got to shoot a personal things. I put a hole in the bill of one of the boys' hat. The raner then put some really big holes in peoples' stuff. At the Tomahawk throw two of our scouts stuck a double throw.
We then hiked to Head of Dean Camp. It was first downhill where we made great time. However, the 2nd half was tough with uphill. We made it into camp at about 4 pm. We had a nice time relaxing in the afternoon. Mr. Culver, the crew leader and I took a sponge bath and washed out our socks and shirt. We felt so much better and the flies didn't seem to bother us as much either. The were horrible on the hike from Miranda.

We were able to take advantage of the Advisors' coffee. There were quite a few folks there and it was good to chat. The camp is nice with basket ball, cards, checkers and several other games for the boys to play.

Sleep was ok, but we were all on a downhill slope.
